All event plans include weatherproof NTAG 213 NFC stickers that work on any smartphone made since 2016. Tags are disposable — place them on tent poles, sandwich boards, fences, or signs, then collect and reuse them at future events or simply discard. Need more than your plan includes? Additional tags are $2 each (Pop-Up and Community) or $1.50 each (Festival).
Metal disrupts NFC signal reception and will prevent tags from working. Avoid metal poles, gates, fences, and sign frames. Instead, place tags on wood, plastic, glass, drywall, cardboard, or any non-metal surface. For metal structures, mount the tag on a plastic or cardboard backer attached to the metal — even a half-inch gap is enough.
Events in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin receive free hand delivery. Events beyond the local service area receive tags via USPS Priority Mail, included in the event fee. Tags arrive pre-programmed and ready to place — no technical setup required.
A local car club runs a one-day show at the VFW grounds. Five tags at the entrance, parking, registration, food area, restrooms, and display rows. Visitors tap and see the full layout on their phone.
